FoodPrints Garden Manager
Our FoodPrints program is seeking an experienced gardener to join our team as a Garden Manager. Alongside the Garden Director and fellow Garden Manager, this member of the FoodPrints Garden team will manage and maintain school gardens across our 21 DCPS partner schools. Garden Managers also manage garden-based projects and facilitate garden-related professional development for FoodPrints teachers. Our ideal Garden Manager is familiar with elementary education on related topics (food, gardening, & the environment) and they must have experience in food production gardening, ideally in an urban and/or food setting.

Grain Stand Specialist (Saturdays, Hyattsville)
Join the FRESHFARM team in partnership with Common Grain Alliance to support our farmers market Grain Stands! Our cooperative Grain Stand model, piloted by our Pop-Up Food Hub team, brings more local grains to customers and helps sustain the businesses of farmers, millers, bakers, and grain artisans in the Mid-Atlantic region. If you’re a creative and flexible problem solver who enjoys working on a team, spending time outdoors, and promoting regional, accessible, fresh food, this is the role for you! Grain Stand Specialists (GSS) serve as at-market ambassadors for grain vendors’ businesses and engage with customers to promote their products and facilitate sales.

Bilingual Market Champion (Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese)
Are you an active DC community member passionate about food access? Do you speak Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese? Join our team as a Bilingual Market Champion! Champions create a welcoming environment at markets for participants of the Produce Plus and Senior FMNP benefits programs – two food access programs currently administered by FRESHFARM that allow DC residents with limited access to fresh, nutritious food to purchase locally grown fruits & vegetables from farmers markets. Market Champions also support program enrollment, provide information and programmatic updates, and ensure that community feedback about the programs is heard. As this role is Bilingual, these Champions will provide this support in English and another language (Spanish and/or Chinese – Mandarin or Cantonese) in which they are fluent. Applicants should be excited to engage directly with customers at various community sites across the District.

Food Access Associate (Washington, DC, part-time, seasonal)
Are you passionate about food access, quick with technology, and skilled at building relationships and helping others? Join our Food Access team as a Food Access Associate! Our DC-based Food Access Associates are responsible for supporting our food access programs by supporting the customers that use them and the farmers that facilitate them. At markets, community events, and virtually, they provide technical assistance and assist with enrollment & outreach, and help operate the critical infrastructure behind our benefits and incentives programs. We are hiring two Associates for the rest of the 2024 Main Season, one of whom must be bilingual in Spanish & English.

Farmers Market Staff & Substitutes (Arlington, NW DC & Fairfax)
FRESHFARM is seeking lovers of local food to join our team as Farmers Market Staff or Substitutes! If you’re a creative and flexible problem solver who enjoys working on a team, spending time outdoors, and promoting regional, accessible, fresh food – this is the role for you. Market Staff are responsible for executing market operations, interfacing with stakeholders, and creating a vibrant and friendly market. Our team is currently seeking Market Staff on Saturdays at our Arlington and Cleveland Park markets for the 2024 Main Season, as well as Substitutes who can support our markets on Thursdays and/or weekends in Fairfax County, VA. PUFH Community Delivery Drivers (part-time; Hyattsville, MD)
Looking for a small job with a big impact? Apply to join our Pop-Up Food Hub (PUFH) team as a Community Delivery Driver (CDD) this season! FRESHFARM is seeking one CDD on Thursday afternoons to help distribute fresh produce. Our nonprofit food hub functions as a food distributor, supporting small- and mid-sized local farmers while serving community members, especially low-income families and individuals with a need for fresh fruits and vegetables. FoodCorps Service Member – FoodPrints
FoodCorps partners with schools and communities to nourish kids’ health, education, and sense of belonging. Their AmeriCorps members serve alongside educators and school nutrition leaders to provide kids with nourishing meals, food education, and culturally affirming experiences with food that celebrate and nurture the whole child. As a FoodCorps placement site, FRESHFARM’s FoodPrints is searching for aspiring food educators who, through mentorship, in-school experience, and professional development, want to further their careers in food education. For the 2024-2025 school year, FoodPrints is hiring two Service Members who will each support programming on-site at 1-2 of FoodPrints’ partner schools. Successful candidates will have experience working with youth, are comfortable working as part of a team, and are motivated, responsible, and passionate about cooking and gardening. We also aspire to find service members who have ties to the communities we serve, including the DC community and those impacted by food insecurity.

FoodPrints Classroom Assistants (Spring Semester 2024; Interns, Work-Study Students, & Volunteers)
Interested in growing your food education skills? FoodPrints is looking for people to join our program as Classroom Assistants! FoodPrints Classroom Assistants will support preschool – 5th grade food and garden education classes during Spring Semester 2024. We are seeking candidates to start in mid or later February, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible!
